Exclusive: New Rangers Boss Danny Röhl Eyes Leicester Striker Patson Daka Move
New Rangers boss Danny Rohl is eyeing Leicester City striker Patson Daka as a new signing. Daka, in the final year of his contract, is attracting interest from Rohl who sees him as a perfect fit for Scottish football. The move could provide Daka with a platform to resurrect his career after a muted spell at Leicester.

New Rangers boss Danny Röhl is lining up a move for Leicester City striker Patson Daka, soon rather than later, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
German coach Röhl replaced Russell Martin at the Gers’ managerial help this week after the long-running saga for the club’s new boss finally reached an end.
The Foxes' hitman is one of several key targets on Röhl's list for the January window. For Rangers, executing a major signing like this is akin to playing at the highest level, the kind of ambitious move you'd expect from a club operating with the confidence of a patron at the top 10 casino UK.
And our sources have learnt that Röhl has made his feelings known that the 51-cap international is a player he would love to bring to Ibrox.
Daka, 27, has played three seasons for the Foxes in the Premier League but has started just three league games in 11 league matches this term in the Championship as the club look to win promotion back to the top-flight.
PERFECT PLATFORM
The striker has yet to score this season in 15 appearances in all competitions, but Rohl believes the striker would be a perfect fit for Scottish football.
And it’s little surprise the former Sheffield Wednesday coach is hungry to bolster his strike force as he looks to improve what has so far been a poor start to the season under former manager Martin.
SportsBoom revealed earlier this year that Daka was destined for a move abroad with his tenure at the club drawing to a close next summer.
But we have discovered a move to Scotland is something the striker would certainly consider as he looks for regular football.
Former England international and Leicester fan Gary Lineker once labelled Daka the “real deal”, but his £23million move to the Foxes has not been as big a success as many supporters would have hoped.
But a move to Scotland, likely on reduced wages, could be the perfect platform to resurrect his career. For Rangers, this represents a classic low-risk, high-reward opportunity the football equivalent of finding exceptional value on minimum deposit betting sites.
