Exclusive: West Ham and Wolves Target Kosovo No.1 Arijanet Muric

West Ham and Wolves are interested in Kosovo goalkeeper Arijanet Muric, who has impressed during World Cup qualifying. Muric, currently on loan at Sassuolo, could be a long-term option for both clubs at £10million. His future may depend on Ipswich Town's promotion back to the Premier League. Born in Switzerland, he started at Manchester City before moving to Burnley and eventually Ipswich.

West Ham and Wolverhampton Wanderers are both eying up Kosovo number one Arijanet Muric, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.

The stopper has impressed during Kosovo’s World Cup qualifying campaign.

And our sources have been told the 26-year-old is now on the radar of a number of Premier League outfits.

West Ham and Wolves are understood to both be in the market for a new long-term keeper come the end of the season.

And Muric has emerged as a contender after a string of fine performances whilst on international duty this season.

He has twice kept Sweden at bay, a nation which boasts almost £200million in attacking talent in Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres.

Muric is currently on loan at Serie A side Sassuolo following Ipswich Town's Premier League relegation last season.

Our sources understand the Championship club would want to recoup the £10million they paid for the player ahead of their season in the top flight.

Sassuolo are also interested in making Muric’s loan move permanent.

Moving Parts to Jigsaw

Muric is contracted at Portman Road until 2028 and any decision over his future will depend on whether the Tractor Boys get promoted back to the Premier League or not.

Born in Switzerland, Muric started his career in the country before moving to Manchester City's youth team when he was 16.

He remained at City for seven years, where he made five appearances in the League Cup.

During his time at the Etihad, Muric had loan spells at NAC Breda, Nottingham Forest, Girona, Willem II and Adana Demirspor.

Muric moved to Burnley in 2022 and was named in the PFA Team of the Year as the Clarets got promoted to the Premier League in his first season at the club.

Muric played 10 times for Burnley in the Premier League in the season they went down before moving to Ipswich, where he made 18 top flight appearances last term.
