Exclusive: Thomas Frank Set to Be Crystal Palace’s Ready-Made Saviour if Oliver Glasner Departs Early
Crystal Palace fans are calling for Oliver Glasner's sacking after recent poor performances. Thomas Frank could be his replacement, bringing hope for a swifter Premier League return. Frank's success at Brentford makes him a good fit for reviving Palace's fortunes. The pressure is on Glasner and the board to act sooner rather than later.

Crystal Palace will have a ready-made replacement for Oliver Glasner if they decide to terminate the German’s tenure as Eagles’ boss early, SportsBoom can reveal.
Angry Palace fans called for their FA Cup winning chief to be sacked after their team’s insipid 1-1 Conference League play-off draw against Zrinski Mostar last week and supporters unveiled banners that read "fans disrespected - Glasner finished" and "opportunities missed - board inept" during Sunday's last 1-0 win against basement boys Wolves as tempers boil at Selhurt Park.
Glasner has already stated he will leave the club at the end of the season, but the board understood to be lining up Thomas Frank as his replacement, as exclusively revealed by SportsBoom earlier this month.
But with supporters now noticeably turning against the former Eintracht Frankfurt manager and the side getting sucked into an unthinkable relegation scrap, his departure could be brought forward.
And that would open the door for a swifter than anticipated Premier League return for Frank.
The Dane was already in Palace thoughts before this latest twist with Glasner and unrest among the fan base.
But a potential move for the recently sacked Spurs chief might now be brought forward.
Good Project Builder
Frank lost his job less than two weeks ago and only eight months after his appointment as Ange Postecoglou’s successor. However, his body of work at previous club Brentford still ensures Frank’s reputation remains largely intact.
And while his chances of managing one of the game’s elite has been put on hold for now, he would be well suited to reviving Palace’s fortunes.
The 52-year-old’s record with the Bees was practically faultless and experienced none of the problems he encountered with unsettled big-name players at Spurs.
Palace are currently 13th, eight points off third bottom West Ham United, and on Sunday entertain bottom of the table Wolves.
Defeat against the West Midlanders and the pressure on Glasner as well as Palace chairman Steve Parish to act will intensify.
And it could be Frank gets a chance to put his stamp on the squad now rather than the close season.
