Exclusive: Crystal Palace Eye Thomas Frank to Replace Outgoing Oliver Glasner
Crystal Palace are considering Thomas Frank as a replacement for Oliver Glasner. Frank, recently sacked by Tottenham, is seen as a project manager by Steve Parish. Having achieved success at Brentford, he could be the right fit for Palace's upcoming squad overhaul.

Crystal Palace will sound out Thomas Frank about taking over from outgoing boss Oliver Glasner, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The current Eagles’ boss revealed earlier in the campaign that this season will be his last at Selhurst Park.
Passionate Glasner has clashed with the board on numerous occasions during his two-year stint at the club, most notably during the Marc Guehi transfer saga.
Former Brentford boss Frank was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur earlier this week following their defeat at home to Newcastle United.
It followed a string of poor results for the club, who were sat in 16th place at the time Frank was axed.
He was only in the role since June, but just seven wins in 26 league games was enough for the north London club to pull the plug.
Despite Frank’s stock seemingly suffering a brutal blow from his spell at Spurs, our sources understand Steve Parish remains a huge admirer of the Dane.
Although the jump up to a Champions League level club ultimately did not work out, Parish believes Frank is the right type of project manager Palace need right now given his success at Brentford on a relatively modest Premier League budget.
With Frank dismissed, Tottenham are now targeting a Portuguese manager, with Mauricio Pochettino their top choice and Sporting Lisbon’s Rui Borges emerging as a serious contender.
Bees' History Maker
Frank helped steer the Bees to a famous Premier League promotion in the 2020/21 campaign.
And he helped establish the club in the top flight. During his tenure in west London, Brentford finished 13th, ninth, 16th and tenth before his move to Tottenham.
Palace are set for a squad makeover at the end of the season with wantaway striker Jean-Phillipe Mateta expected to get his move away from the club, whilst Adam Wharton is also in line for a big-money transfer.
Palace spent big in January with the acquisitions of striker Jørgen Strand Larsen and Brennan Johnson, who was a long-term target of Frank’s at Brentford and who he sold whilst at Spurs.
Editor's Insight
Just two months ago Frank was a Champions League manager. Now he's a bargain and Palace can snap him up. That's the manager-market equivalent of the low-stakes gamble that pays big - the same reason football punters are flocking to £1 Aviator bets, where small bets can lead to big returns.
