Exclusive: Paris FC Set to Renew Pursuit of Frustrated Sunderland Striker Wilson Isidor

Paris FC are set to revive their pursuit of Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor in the summer transfer window after failing to secure a move in January. Isidor, frustrated by lack of playing time at Sunderland, has attracted interest from Everton, Nottingham Forest, and Crystal Palace. Despite early success, Isidor has struggled recently, leading Paris FC to pursue him once again.

Paris FC will reignite their pursuit of wantaway Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor this summer, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.

The Ligue 1 club are making their mark in the French top flight this season and want to further strengthen their squad when the window reopens.

Paris FC’s £22million move for the Frenchman failed to materialise during the winter window.

But sources close to the situation say the club remain interested in the striker, who has been left frustrated by his role at the Stadium of Light.

Everton have been linked with offering the 25-year-old a route to remain in the Premier League, whilst it is understood Nottingham Forest have shortlisted the striker ahead of a planned summer spending spree.

Isidor has also emerged on a long list of candidates to replace Jean-Phillipe Mateta at Crystal Palace, although Eagles’ chiefs will wait to appoint a new manager before finalising their summer targets.

Not Gone To Plan

Isidor started his Premier League career strongly with three goals in his first five games as the Black Cats made a stunning start to their top flight return.

But he has failed to find the back of the net in almost four months and has been restricted to cameos off the bench since the 3-0 defeat at Manchester City at the beginning of December.

Isidor joined Sunderland on an initial season-long loan deal with an option to buy from Zenit St Petersburg in 2024 and was signed permanently by the club in February that season, going on to score nine league goals.

He scored a decisive goal in the first leg of their play-off semi-final against Coventry City last term as the club ended their near decade-long spell away from the top tier at Wembley.
