Exclusive: Forest Owner Evangelos Marinakis a Huge Admirer of Fulham Boss Marco Silva
Vitor Pereira is Nottingham Forest's new manager, replacing Sean Dyche. With speculation already swirling about his potential successor, Pereira's main goal is to secure the club's top-flight status. Meanwhile, Fulham's Marco Silva is out of contract in June and could be enticed by Forest's project if Spurs don't make a move.

Vitor Pereira’s appointment as Nottingham Forest’s fourth manager of the season hasn’t stopped speculation the Tricky Trees are already looking ahead for their next hot seat occupant, SportsBoom can reveal.
Pereira has now officially replaced Sean Dyche at the City Ground and is preparing for his first match in charge against Fenerbahçe in the Europa League on Thursday.
The former Wolves manager has signed an 18-month contract with the main target of cementing the club’s top flight status.
Forest are three points above the relegation places and host champions Liverpool this weekend.
Pereira kept the Molineux club up last season but was sacked earlier this term after a total of 11 months in charge.
He’s worked with Forest owner, Evangelos Marinakis before but it is understood the Greek hire ‘em and fire ‘em’ chief is also a big fan of Fulham gaffer, Marco Silva.
And having shown little or no loyalty this term to Nuno Espirito Santo, Ange Postecoglou and then Dyche, it’s hard to see former Porto manager Pereira seeing out his 18-month deal.
Silva’s stock is rising elsewhere too, with Benfica reportedly eyeing him as a potential replacement for Jose Mourinho amid struggles at the Portuguese giants.”
Waving Craven Cottage Goodbye
Portuguese Silva is the Premier League’s longest serving manager behind Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta. But he is out of contract at Fulham in June.
And while a lucrative deal remains on the take, the 48-year-old is in no hurry to put pen to paper, especially with a vacancy to fill in the summer at Spurs.
There is a feeling Silva has taken the Cottagers as far as he can though they remain in the hunt for a first ever FA Cup triumph. A 2-1 comeback win at Stoke on Sunday put them into the last 16.
And it’s thought Silva, who has also managed at Hull City, Watford and Everton, would be tempted by the project of bringing back the glory years to Forest if Spurs don’t come calling.
