Motherwell Hotshot Tawanda Maswanhise Could Return to England if Leicester Stay Up
Former Leicester City academy prospect Tawanda Maswanhise, now a top scorer in the Scottish Premiership, is attracting interest from English Championship and League One clubs. Leicester regrets letting him go and may consider bringing him back. Blackburn were unable to sign him earlier. His value has skyrocketed, potentially costing a club seven figures to secure his transfer. Leicester's decision may depend on their Football League status next season.

Leicester City could be re-united with a former academy prospect next season depending on their Football League status, SportsBoom can reveal.
Tawanda Maswanhise only made one first team appearance for the Foxes, who are currently fighting for their Championship lives.
But the Zimbabwean goal machine is now the hottest shot north of the border.
And the Scottish Premiership’s top scorer with 16 league goals (22 in total for club and country) is attracting admiring glances from both sides of Hadrian’s Wall this season.
Maswanhise’s form is one of the main reasons why Motherwell have emerged as the unlikeliest of title challengers to leaders Hearts plus Old Firm rivals, Rangers and Celtic.
The Glasgow duo have already marked down the 23-year-old from Harare as a possible summer target.
But it is believed the player’s preference would be to test himself again in England with the Championship having more appeal than League One. Leicester take note.
Blackburn were priced out of a move for the player earlier this season.
Leicester Regret
At this stage of his development Maswanhise would only be a fringe first team player if a Premier League outfit took a punt on the ‘Well wonder.’
Certainly, Leicester are regretting their decision to let the striker leave at the end of the 2023/2024 campaign.
His only outing for then manager Enzo Maresca was as a late substitute in an FA Cup third round tie against Millwall.
He had various trials before joining the Fir Park club, including at League One Stockport County for whom he scored a hat-trick in a B team game.
The Hatters will lose loan signings Tanto Olaofe and Louie Barry at the end of the season.
And having recruited Adama Sidibe from St Johnstone during the January transfer window could be tempted by another border raid for Maswanhise.
However, his value has rocketed since his brief Edgeley Park stay and it could cost a club seven figures now, with any move once again dependant on the former Premier League champions' league status next term.
