Former Queens Park Rangers winger Lucas Andersen is wanted by Livingston, Hull City and Oxford United on a free transfer, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
All three clubs have expressed an interest in signing the 30-year-old ex-Denmark international in the summer transfer window.
Andersen, capped seven times by his country, was released by the Hoops at the end of June following the conclusion of his one-year deal.
And now interest in growing to secure his signature the experienced free agent after two months in the wilderness looking to find a new club.
Andersen joined the R’s in February 2024 from Danish outfit Aalborg and made 51 appearances for the West London club before being surprisingly released at the end of his contract.
It was rumoured that Andersen was going to be offered a new deal to stay at Loftus Road, but that turned out not to be the case and he was released with a string of other players at the end of last season’s Championship campaign.
However, Andersen was quick to go on record to say how much he enjoyed his time with the club.
"QPR has been one of the best places I've been as a whole - my team-mates, fans, stadiums and the football heritage is unmatched," reflected Andersen.
"It's always been my goal to not only be remembered as the footballer but also a good human being."
"My family have loved every second of living in London. And we are definitely coming back."
INTERNATIONAL PEDIGREE
Andersen started his career in Denmark before being snapped up by Dutch giants Ajax when he was 18.
He won his first international cap for his country the same year and twice won the Eredivisie, the Dutch top division crown, as well as the Johan Cruyff Shield during his career so far.
Scottish Premiership side Livington have made a tentative approach to try and lure the midfielder north of the border, while English Championship sides the Tigers and U’s have both opened dialogue with the player’s representatives.
Andersen scored the QPR in the opening game of last season and scored again at the end of the season as he made 35 appearance for the club in which they finished 15th place in the second tier.
