Exclusive: Exit Looms for Dan Scarr with League One Clubs Circling Wrexham Defender
Wrexham's Dan Scarr is on the verge of leaving the club, with interest from League One clubs such as Plymouth and Reading. While Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson is looking to add quality to the squad, Scarr is eager for regular game time after helping the team gain promotion last season.

Dan Scarr is on his way out of Wrexham, SportsBoom can reveal.
If Phil Parkinson wants to strengthen further before the window shuts, he’ll need to move players out first.
That means a number of the Dragons’ promotion heroes are on the verge of leaving the club in the coming days.
A number of League One clubs are eying up out-of-favour central defender Scarr, who is deemed surplus to requirements and is free to leave the ambitious Welsh club, including former employers Plymouth Argyle.
The Pilgrims were relegated from the Championship last season and want to boost their defensive options for the new campaign.
Despite needing players to leave the club, Parkinson is still trying to add quality to his Wrexham squad with Cardiff City captain Calum Chambers on his radar.
And it is believed that Scarr could be used as a makeweight if Chambers does make the move to the Racecourse.
Reading are also on the lookout for a defender, with Scarr fitting the bill for what they are looking for.
Scarr's only game time this term has come in the EFL Cup and at this stage of his career, the 30-year-old wants to play regular football and is eager for a promotion project after helping Wrexham return to the Championship last season.
Exit Door Beckons
Scarr has made his way through the leagues during his professional career.
Following a spell in non-league with Stourbridge, Scarr moved to Championship Birmingham City, where he failed to make an appearance.
He left St Andrews for Walsall in 2019 and turned down a new contract with the club to join Plymouth in 2021.
Scarr played a pivotal part in Plymouth’s famous double in the 2022/23 campaign where they won League One.
