32-year-old Freddie Ladapo is seeking a new club after struggling at Huddersfield Town. Once a record signing for Rotherham United, he made only one league start last season. Ladapo is surplus to requirements and has not featured at all this season. Ladapo's representatives have contacted League One teams, but Huddersfield have yet to receive an offer for the striker. Ladapo had success at previous clubs, scoring 71 goals in 212 games and securing four promotions in five seasons.

Freddie Ladapo is on the hunt for a new club as he looks to end his Huddersfield Town hell, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.

Once a £500,000 record signing for Rotherham United, Ladapo has endured a torrid time after his move to the Terriers last summer.

The 32-year-old made just one league start last season and is surplus to requirements under Lee Grant at the Alfred Mcalpine Stadium.

Following Ipswich Town’s promotion to the Premier League, the Tractor Boys released the hitman from his contract on transfer deadline day to allow him to find an opportunity elsewhere.

And Huddersfield beat off a number of suitors to secure his services last summer as he penned a two-year deal with the Yorkshire club.

But just a year on, Ladapo is ready to move again after scoring just once in 25 appearances for the club, in an EFL Trophy game.

A double coup of Joe Taylor and Dion Charles in January pushed Ladapo further down the pecking order and Alfie May has also joined the club this summer, ending any hopes Ladapo hhad of forcing his way back into the reckoning at Town.

He has not featured at all this season and representatives of the player have been in contact with a number of League One outfits, but Huddersfield have so far not received an offer for the striker, who they would let leave the club for free.

Handful at his Best

During spells at Plymouth Argyle, Rotherham and Ipswich Ladapo was a regular on the scoresheet and netted 71 goals in 212 games.

He secured four promotions in five season, twice helping Rotherham get promoted to the Championship and was part of Ipswich’s famous dual triumphs which saw the Suffolk club return to the Premier League for the first time in 22 years.
