Leeds United will renew their pursuit of Fulham winger Harry Wilson when the January transfer window, opens SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
But our sources have also earnt that Premier League rivals Everton are also planning to make a bid on the sought-after Wales international.
Wilson is out of contract next summer and both clubs believe they can tempt the Cottagers with a sizeable fee before the 28-year-old becomes available on a free.
Leeds had done everything in their power to try and sign Wilson on transfer deadline day, but the two clubs failed to reach an agreement on a proposed three-year deal.
Wilson, capped 64 times his country, started his career with Liverpool before signing for Fulham initially on loan in July 2021.
His impressive displays earnt him a four-year deal at Craven Cottage and he has since gone to score 25 goals and play 150 games for the club across what is now his fourth season in West London.
Wilson has been a mainstay of the Fulham side in the Premier League for the past three seasons and weighed in with six goals last term.
INTERNATIONAL CALIBRE
He made his international debut for Wales in 2013 aged just 16 and over a decade later is still a key player for his national side, having scored 14 goals for his country and has played in the European Championships and World Cup.
So far this season Wilson has been part of the Cottagers plans, with boss Marco Silva having started him in two of the club’s opening Premier League games.
However, he didn't even make the squad for Saturday's 1-0 home win over Leeds United and, with his current deal up in the summer, and Fulham having allowed Wilson to speak to Leeds on deadline day, a move away from the club is looking more likely.
Everton have also been long-time admirers of the Wrexham-born playmaker, with Toffees boss David Moyes keen to add strength wide on the right.
However, for now, Wilson knows he will have to bide his time and see how much football he can play before January before a move to either Leeds or Everton.
