Free agent Adam Wilson is considering a move back to The New Saints following his Bradford City release, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The winger, whose contract was due to expire at the end of the season, left the club by mutual consent on transfer deadline day.
And after an ill-fated spell at Valley Parade, our sources have been told the 25-year-old has been in talks with his former club.
Familiar surroundings are understood to be a key factor in Wilson’s mind as he bids to resurrect his faltering career.
The Kenyan speedster came through the ranks at Newcastle United’s academy and moved to Welsh Premier League club TNS in 2022.
His impressive form in his debut season, where he scored seven goals in 22 appearances, captured the eye of a number of potential suitors in England.
Bradford paid a small fee for the player that summer but was loaned back to TNS last season.
Wilson was part of history during his loan spell, where he scored nine goals in 40 games, as the club became the first side from the Welsh League to qualify for the group stage of a major UEFA competition.
They were forced to play their Conference League games at Shrewsbury Town’s New Meadow after their Park Hall ground failed to meet criteria.
End of a Nightmare
Wilson, who endured a sorry spell at the Bantams, joined the Yorkshire club in the summer of 2023 when Manchester United legend Mark Hughes was at the helm.
But once Graham Alexander took over and changed the team’s system, Wilson fell out of favour. He last played a game for the club in March 2024.
He finished his poor stint at the League One outfit with a solitary goal in 16 appearances, an equaliser at home to Phil Parkinson’s Wrexham a month after joining the club.
