Mariano Troilo has entered the Premier League agenda quickly and decisively.

The 22-year-old Argentine defender of Parma has drawn the attention of multiple English clubs with his performances in Serie A this season.

According to information obtained by SportsBoom, Brighton and Fulham are preparing to submit an offer worth approximately €15 million to €20 million for Troilo.

Leeds United and Brentford are also monitoring the player closely. But Parma will not let him go easily in this race.

The opening offer from Brighton and Fulham is expected to be rejected. Parma places a much higher value on Troilo, and it is certain that the club will find the first offers insufficient.

Who Is Mariano Troilo

Troilo is 22-years-old but secured a quick adaptation to the demanding environment of Serie A.

The Argentine defender draws attention with his quality in reading positions, his ability to build from the back and his determination in duels.

He represents the versatile defensive profile demanded by modern football extremely well.

His capacity to play both as a centre back and in different defensive positions makes him a player who can create value in multiple systems.

This flexibility is the primary reason why English clubs are showing such intense interest.

Strategy of Fulham

Brighton and Fulham moved early in this transfer.

It is evaluated that the €15 million to €20 million offer is the first step, and the clubs are ready to present higher figures during the negotiation process.

Fulham wants to add a young and developable profile to their defensive line. Troilo directly meets this tactical need.

According to sources close to SportsBoom, negotiations are anticipated to make progress in the coming weeks. But the resistance of Parma indicates that this process could drag on.

Troilo isn’t the only Serie A talent on Fulham’s radar this summer, with Udinese midfielder Arthur Atta also featuring on their transfer shortlist as the club looks to strengthen in multiple areas.

Brighton, Leeds and Brentford are waiting in the Background

Fulham is not alone in this race.

Brighton, Leeds United and Brentford are also on the radar for Troilo.

At this stage, there is no news of concrete contact. However, the interest of these clubs increases the weight of Troilo in the market and strengthens the hand of Parma.

Considering the young talent hunter identity of Brighton, this interest is not surprising. The search for permanence in the Premier League for Leeds and the smart value-oriented recruitment policy of Brentford also make this interest meaningful.

The simultaneous involvement of multiple Premier League clubs pushes the price pressure upwards. Parma knows this dynamic very well. The club chooses to wait for the right offer.

Attitude of Parma

Parma is sending an extremely clear message in this transfer. €20 million is not enough.

The club prefers to develop Troilo further this season and increase his value. However, the expression of an unforgettable offer shows that the door is not completely closed. If the right figure arrives, Parma might sit at the table. What that figure is has not gained clarity yet. But an offer significantly above €20 million could alter this process.

SportsBoom can exclusively reveal that no formal bids have yet been accepted by Parma, and the club remain committed to retaining Troilo for the 2025/26 season. The process has started, but remains far from closed.

Fulham moving early makes sense given their need to refresh defensively, but this still feels like a deal that drags on rather than one wrapped quickly. With Brighton, Brentford and Leeds circling, Parma are in a strong position to push the price up. If anything, the market noise alone could be enough to shorten odds on a Premier League move this summer, even if Fulham aren’t quite home and dry yet.
