Roony Bardghji has become one of the most debated names of the summer transfer window.

SportsBoom can exclusively reveal that the 20-year-old Swedish winger, plying his trade at Barcelona, is drawing intense interest from the Premier League.

Everton, Aston Villa, Sunderland, Brighton, Brentford and Leeds United are among the clubs closely monitoring the situation of the player.

Barcelona Valuation and Conflicting Market Reports

SportsBoom have been told that the Barcelona management is looking for an opportunity to sanction a sale for the young star, but maintains their stubborn seller stance.

The Catalan club has not set a definitive price tag for the player, and conflicting reports in the market attract attention.

Some sources suggested that a fee in the region of between €20 million and €25 million would be sufficient.

The preference of the club is clear: they want to make a permanent sale and secure a cash injection for the treasury.

However, according to sources close to SportsBoom, the player's preference is completely different.

The Swedish player plans to go on a loan deal to find regular game time and return to Barcelona after one season. Having clearly learned in his recent meeting with Hansi Flick that his game time will not increase, the young talent does not want to risk his career.

This detail regarding personal terms changes the course of the talks and complicates negotiations between the clubs.

Barcelona are expected to continue building their transfer kitty this summer, with reports suggesting they are eyeing a major move for Chelsea defender Levi Colwill as part of a potential defensive overhaul.

The Ajax Sporting Project and Technical Clauses

At this point, Ajax enters the fray.

The sporting director of the Dutch giants plans to hold talks with the Barcelona management.

Ajax are pushing for a loan transfer without a purchase option and want the player to play a key role in their new project.

Although Barcelona prefers a permanent sale that includes a buyback option. This technical detail stands as the biggest obstacle ahead of an agreement, and it may take time for the parties to reach a compromise.

The Premier League Recruitment Strategy and Club Interest

Premier League clubs want to take advantage of this uncertainty.

Leeds United stands at the forefront of the clubs that have been monitoring Bardghji for a long time, and the Yorkshire side offers an attractive sporting project to the player.

Aston Villa put the young winger on their shortlist to increase their ambition in European competitions.

Meanwhile, Everton, Brighton, Sunderland and Brentford are evaluating Bardghji as part of their strategy to lower the average age of their squad.

The background of the player is also striking. Having transferred to Barcelona from FC Copenhagen in July 2025 for a fee of just €2.5 million, Bardghji has extended his contract until June 2029. This situation strengthens the hand of Barcelona, but the desires of the young talent who has featured 3 times for the Swedish national team cannot be ignored.

Negotiations are expected to accelerate in the coming days.

Bardghji looks set for a drawn-out decision, with Barcelona’s stance still unclear and loan versus sale talks complicating matters. Villa and Leeds are early frontrunners, but Ajax can’t be ruled out.
