Rob Street is capturing the attention of Championship suitors heading into the business end of the season, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The Lincoln City ace has netted in each of the Imps’ last three victories as they have further cemented their grip on League One promotion.
And our sources understand that has caught the eye of both Queens Park Rangers and Charlton Athletic.
Michael Skubala’s second-placed Imps boasts a handy ten-point cushion in the promotion race and Street looks destined to be playing Championship football next season regardless of whether or not he leaves Sincil Bank.
But QPR and Charlton are both willing to offer the 24-year-old the chance to be closer to home having grown up in Oxford and coming through the ranks at Crystal Palace.
Hometown club Oxford United are also understood to be monitoring the player’s progress, but are waiting to see whether or not they stay in the second tier before finalising their summer transfer plans.
In other news, Lincoln themselves are already preparing for life in the Championship, with sources revealing they have targeted Dundee defender Luke Graham as part of their summer recruitment plans.
Skubala's High-Fliers
Lincoln’s rise this season has taken the Football League by storm.
It is a culmination of giving a manager time to build and the proof has been in the pudding.
They are unbeaten in the league in 17 games, an impressive run which stretches back to November and have not lost at home since the beginning of October.
The club are braced for interest in their stars come the end of the season and have smartly tied down Ben House, James Collins, Adam Reach, Tendayi Darikwa, Reeco Hackett and Conor McGrandles to contract extensions this season.
Street is contracted to the club until the summer of 2028.
The forward has netted nine times across competitions this season, with a memorable goal against Premier League Chelsea in the League Cup.
After coming through the ranks at Palace, where he went on loan to Torquay United, Newport County and Shrewsbury Town, Street left the Eagles for Cheltenham Town in 2023.
He joined Lincoln last season and spent the backend of the campaign at Doncaster Rovers, who he helped fire to League Two promotion with 12 goals in 22 games.
Rovers were rebuffed in their efforts to sign him permanently in the summer and Street is on course for back-to-back promotions this term.
