Leeds United are set to reignite their pursuit of Fulham ace Harry Wilson, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The Welsh international is out of contract at the end of the season with talks between the club and the player stalling in recent weeks.
Wilson, 28, is in the form of his life with 17 goals and assists in his last 17 games for club and country and is attracting interest all over the Premier League.
Fulham are desperate to tie down the winger, but have left themselves in a position where they could lose one of their star assets for free.
Leeds saw a bid turned down for Wilson ahead of the return to the Premier League and our sources understand Whites’ boss Daniel Farke remains a huge admirer of the player.
Brentford have also emerged as unlikely suitors for the player, who plays at their arch rivals.
The Bees have experienced first hand just how influential the impactful winger can be. Last season he scored two dramatic stoppage-time goals to earn the Cottagers a derby victory at Craven Cottage and again netted the winner as the visitors came from behind to win at the G Tech. Wilson made it four goals in three games against Fulham’s west London rivals earlier this season.
Everton, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are among the other Premier League clubs monitoring Wilson’s situation at Fulham and are also poised to swoop come the end of the season.
Fulham Hope Deal Can Be Struck
Speaking after match-winner Wilson, who signed for the club for £12million in 2021, bagged his eight league goal of the campaign with another decisive stoppage-time effort boss Marco Silva said: “Harry’s incredible. He’s been brilliant for us from the first day this season.”
“Sometimes everything comes together and it has for Harry this season.”
“We are trying to keep him, but it is not going to be easy. The more goals he scores the more clubs who are going to be around him.”
