Exclusive: Norwich City’s Kasper Høgh Chase Under Threat as Hearts Enter Race

Hearts are set to hijack Norwich's move for Kasper Hogh after the Danish striker's impressive performance against Manchester City. With Hearts looking to replace injured captain Shankland, they see Hogh as the key to breaking Celtic and Rangers' title duopoly. Everton is also interested in the 25-year-old striker who has scored 20 goals this season. Norwich, on the other hand, may lose striker Josh Sargant and are looking for a replacement before the transfer window closes.

Norwich City’s interest in Kasper Høgh is set to be hijacked by Hearts after the Danish hitman’s double in Bodo/Glimt’s stunning 3-1 Champions League win over Manchester City, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.

The Scottish Premiership leaders are looking to replace the goals of captain and talisman Lawrence Shankland.

The Scottish international is sidelined for up to two months with a hamstring injury suffered in Hearts’ Scottish Cup exit against Falkirk.

Desperate to break the title duopoly of Celtic and Rangers, the Tynecastle club have now turned hotshot hitman Hogh to help them become kings of Scottish football for the first time in 66 years.

Hearts had previously been linked with another highly-rated Scandinavian frontman Daniel Karlsbakk of Eliteserien club, Sarpsborg now understood to be a target for Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.

It remains to be seen though if they have sufficient funds to prise away the forward who represented Denmark below senior level.

GROWING VALUE

Hogh, 25, netted a first half double against faltering City, overshadowing misfiring Erling Haaland, to further underline his potential, take his season’s goal tally to 20 and increase his value.

Our Merseyside sources suggest Hogh is also on Everton’s radar. David Moyes’ side has managed only 24 league goals, making them one of the lowest scoring teams in the Premier League.

A 1-0 win at Aston Villa last Sunday pushed the Toffees to the fringes of European qualification and a prolific marksman could make all the difference to their end of season finishing spot.

Norwich look certain to lose American international striker Josh Sargent after a falling out with boss Philippe Clement.

And while the goals of young find Jovon Makama have propelled the Canaries away from the Championship danger zone, Clement wants a ready-made replacement for Sargant should the latter leave Carrow Road before the transfer window closes on 2nd February.
