Exclusive: Federico Chiesa Pushing for Liverpool Exit Amid Napoli and Fulham Interest
Liverpool are set to axe struggling winger Federico Chiesa, with Napoli and Fulham interested in a cut-price deal. Chiesa is desperate for regular game time and a move in January seems likely. The Italian is willing to take a wage cut to secure a transfer as Liverpool look to cash in.

Federico Chiesa is plotting his great Anfield escape, with both Napoli and Fulham hot on his heels, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The Liverpool winger is desperate for a way out after a season spent stuck in the shadows, and the January window is shaping up to be his trapdoor.
Chiesa arrived on Merseyside in the summer for £35million, billed as a marquee signing for the Reds.
But less than a year on, the Italian flyer is struggling to get airborne.
He has made just around 36 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, with the majority coming off the bench. Only a handful have been starts.
He’s scored three goals this season, but they’ve been flickers rather than fireworks and not enough to cement a regular role under Arne Slot.
And our sources are led to believe the player’s frustration is boiling over as he guns for a Merseyside exit.
INCREASINGLY UNHAPPY
Chiesa, 28, is said to be increasingly unhappy with life as a bit-part player, watching others take centre stage while he waits in the wings. Sources close to the player say he wants regular football.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are ready to let him go.
Slot has made it clear Chiesa is not central to his plans, and the Reds are lining up a loan deal with a view to a permanent exit, rather than letting an expensive asset rot on the bench.
Premier League rivals Fulham are pushing hard, seeing 51-cap Italy international Chiesa as a potential game-changer who could inject pace and pedigree into their frontline.
A London move would offer the Italian a clean slate and a starring role, but Italy is calling too.
Fulham’s interest in Chiesa is expected to intensify if Newcastle move to hijack their reported £30million swoop for Manchester City’s Oscar Bobb, leaving the London club keen to secure an alternative attacking boost.
Italian champions Napoli are circling, keen to drag Chiesa back to Serie A, where he made his name and terrorised defences week in, week out.
REDISCOVER SWAGGER
They believe he could rediscover his swagger under the Mediterranean sun.
Chiesa made his name at Juventus, where he became a fan favourite after spells with Fiorentina earlier in his career.
Juve have been linked with a reunion, watching closely as Liverpool weigh up their options.
Crucially, Chiesa is said to be willing to take a wage cut to force the move and a major signal that he wants out of Anfield, not just whispers, but action.
Liverpool hold the cards, though, with Chiesa under contract until 2028.
However, the club are prepared to cash in now rather than gamble on a revival that may never come.
