Crystal Palace are interested in signing Venezuelan international Cristian Cásseres Jr, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The Palace board are braced to lose a number of key stars this summer with the likes of Adam Wharton and Jean-Phillippe Mateta set to leave Selhurst Park.
It is understood the futures of Maxence Lacroix, Tyrick Mitchell and Ismaila Sarr are also up in the air with interest in the trio.
Boss Oliver Glasner has already confirmed he is leaving the club at the end of the season and the Eagles also lost club captain Marc Guehi for just £20million as he completed a move to Manchester City during the winter window.
And that has left Palace chiefs desperately looking for alternatives across the spine of their squad.
There are a number of players on their shopping list, but it is understood matters are further complicated due to the fact they are no closer to appointing a new boss.
Thomas Frank and Sean Dyche are both understood to have been sounded out about the role.
Midfield Maestro
Toulouse’s Cásseres Jr, 26, has emerged as a big summer target for the club.
The Venezuela midfielder, capped 44 times by his country, will only have a year remaining on his Ligue 1 deal come the summer.
And there are a number of potential suitors for his signature who have been alerted to his contract status at the club.
Seville were rebuffed in their €8million pursuit in January and it is understood a fee of around £15million will be enough for Toulouse to part company with the player.
Brighton and Hove Albion are understood to also be closely monitoring developments.
Lyon are understood to be interested in the player, but are happy to wait to see if he becomes available on a free next summer.
Cásseres Jr signed from New York Red Bulls in 2023 and has made 93 appearances for the club.
