Leeds United vs Brentford Preview: Odds, Tips and Prediction

Over the past five games, Leeds have shown inconsistent form, struggling with finishing in key moments, and defensive mistakes have been costly. Daniel Farke knows they are not out of the woods yet, and there is plenty of work still to be done, as any slip-up could put them in a situation they don’t want to be in. Every match from now until the end of the season will be treated as a final.

Their evolution under Keith Andrews has been impressive to say the least, as their attacking football and effective counterattacking tactics have seen them become a tough team to face, even to the point of flirting with European qualification. 

At the Gtech, Brentford took on Brighton in a fixture both teams were fully committed to wanting nothing less than all three points. The Seagulls dominated early possession, and two first-half goals were enough to win, despite the Bees putting in a strong second-half display. Away at Turf Moor, Andrews knew this would be a tricky encounter as Burnley are playing for their lives in the Premier League.

As expected, this was an open match with both teams going attack for attack, which produced a seven-goal thriller. Brentford took an early three-goal lead, but the Clarets showed resilience to stage a remarkable second-half comeback. Although it was not to be, the Bees stole the victory in stoppage time with Mikkel Damsgaard scoring the winner to break Burnley hearts.
