Forest, meanwhile, have certainly improved since Sean Dyche took charge, getting themselves out of the bottom three to 16th place with four wins, one draw, and three losses in the league since he took charge. They will need to improve on their recent record against Fulham, though, having lost five of their last six games against the Cottagers.

Fulham Current Form - WWLLW
Nine points from the last 15 available is a solid return for Marco Silva’s team and given that run followed a sequence of one outright win in seven games, it is certainly an improvement.
A late Raul Jimenez winner in a 1-0 home win against Sunderland kicked off that run, and that was followed by an impressive 1-2 victory at Tottenham. What came next was one of the most bizarre games of the Premier League season, when Fulham almost came back from 1-5 down to draw with Manchester City in a 4-5 home defeat.
A second consecutive home loss followed when Fulham were beaten 1-2 by Crystal Palace, before another entertaining encounter at Burnley, where Fulham ran out 2-3 winners.
At the time of writing, Fulham were set to play in a Carabao Cup quarter-final at Newcastle United on Wednesday.
Key Players to Watch
- Harry Wilson: The Welsh wide player is in fine form, having scored or assisted in each of Fulham’s last four matches at the time of writing. In that run, Wilson scored one of the goals of the season so far against Crystal Palace.
- Raul Jimenez: The centre-forward is looking to rediscover some of the strong form he showed last season. Jimenez has notched only three goals in 18 Fulham appearances this season, and is without a goal in four games.
- Kevin: The Brazilian winger has struggled to hold down a place in the team since joining for a club record £34.6 million from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer. However, with Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze both going away to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with Nigeria, that presents an opportunity for Kevin to make his mark.
Fulham Team News
This is set to be a difficult period for Fulham personnel-wise, with Iwobi, Chukwueze, and centre-back Calvin Bassey all joining up with Nigeria for AFCON. Injury-wise, left-back Ryan Sessegnon and forward Rodrigo Muniz are set to miss out with hamstring injuries.
Nottingham Forest Current Form – LWLWW
Six of Forest’s last eight games have returned wins, but performances were certainly mixed before the last two games.
Forest’s November ended disappointingly with a 0-2 loss at home to Brighton, and this was followed by an unconvincing 0-1 victory at bottom-of-the-table Wolves. Concerns were raised with a 3-0 loss at Everton, before a 1-2 win at Utrecht in the Europa League, and a dominant 3-0 success at home to Tottenham last Sunday.
Key Players to Watch
- Elliot Anderson: The midfielder is having an excellent season and has forged a position as a regular starter in Thomas Tuchel’s England team.
- Callum Hudson-Odoi: The winger scored two goals in the 3-0 win over Tottenham last Sunday and assisted the third. If he can follow that up with attacking returns here, he may finally be starting to show the consistency he has often lacked.
- Douglas Luiz: The Brazilian midfielder has been unable to recreate the form he showed at Aston Villa since signing on loan from Juventus in the summer, in part due to injury. With Ibrahim Sangare leaving for AFCON with the Ivory Coast, though, this could be his chance to shine in a Forest shirt if he is selected ahead of Nicolas Dominguez.
Nottingham Forest Team News
Forest are losing two players to AFCON; Sangare and centre-back Willy Boly, both to the Ivory Coast.
Goalkeeper Matz Sels could be set to return from a groin injury, but midfielder Ryan Yates and forward Chris Wood are not expected to be back from hamstring and knee injuries, respectively. Forward Taiwo Awoniyi has missed out on AFCON with Nigeria due to a muscle injury, and his compatriot Ola Aina is a long-term absentee, with the right-back nursing a hamstring injury.

Suggested Bets
Here are some of our suggestions for Monday’s game, with odds provided by some of the top football sportsbooks:
Over 2.5 goals: Fulham’s last four and Forest’s last three matches at the time of writing have produced three goals or more (Unibet 4/1)
Fulham to win: Fulham have won five of their last six matches against Forest, with all of those wins coming under current manager Marco Silva (LeoVegas 6/5)
Both teams to score: Fulham have scored and conceded in all of their last four matches at the time of writing (Betfred 8/11)
Value Bets
Harry Wilson to score any time: Wilson scored in both of Fulham’s last two matches at the time of writing (Spreadex 14/5)
Igor Jesus to score any time: Forest have won three of their last four away games, with Jesus scoring in two of those (Bzeebet 47/20)
Fulham to win and both teams to score: Fulham won this fixture 2-1 last season, and as mentioned, they have regularly been scoring and conceding recently (Midnite 7/2)
Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals
With both teams hitting this marker consistently in recent games, and with some of the absences due to AFCON, it may be difficult for both managers to really get control of this game. As a result, we forecast three goals or more.
