Inter and Borussia Dortmund Set to Battle for Spurs-Owned Luka Vušković

Inter are prepared to rebuild their backline in the summer. As per evaluating reports from SportsBoom, the Croatian international centre-half Luka Vušković is one of the prospects from abroad that the Nerazzurri are paying close attention to.
Internazionale are seeking a regular backbone, and the player's profile suits the tactical mindset of the Inter guys just fine.
Long-term fan Cristian Chivu has been admiring him from afar and has always been in great admiration for his quality shown on the field.
THE GERMAN DEVELOPMENT PHASE
The 19-year-old is still owned by Spurs, having just recently completed a loan with Hamburg for 2024/25.
His Bundesliga adventure represented a huge period of growth for the young defender, as he demonstrated an extraordinary level of composure wearing the HSV shirt, improving his influence over his defensive colleagues with each game.
After a heartfelt farewell to the players, coaches and followers of Bundesliga football, Vušković will be ready to draw a line under his German story, despite one game concluding the beginning of something far bigger.
VALUATION SKYROCKETS ON THE MARKET
The real drama lies in the transfer market valuation.
Spurs are reportedly holding out for a transfer fee of somewhere in the region of €60/70 million.
How have they arrived at such a figure? Vušković was originally purchased by Tottenham from Hajduk Split for the price of just €13.8 million (plus bonuses) in July 2025. Now, his value stands at €60 million. The profit margin is massive, and Tottenham are determined to play this tactical advantage to the maximum.
EUROPE’S HEAVYWEIGHTS LAUNCH BIDDING WAR
Sources close to SportsBoom reveal that Barcelona are pushing for a permanent transfer and are completely ruling out any loan deals.
The Catalan giants want to position Vušković as the sweeper of their long-term defensive project.
Bayern Munich are holding the same tactical stance, uninterested in a temporary fix; the German powerhouse wants to initiate direct transfer talks.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have quietly entered the bidding war. The Reds have shortlisted Vušković to freshen up their defensive squad. Chelsea and Manchester United are also in the running, transforming this into a highly contested group stage of suitors.
THE DORTMUND CLAUSE DEADLOCK
At Borussia Dortmund, it is a different story. The club, managed by Niko Kovac, would love to bring the young defender on a one-year loan deal to replace Niklas Süle, who will put an end to his career at the end of the season.
The Germans are said to want a buy-out clause in the agreement. However, sources state that Tottenham are completely blocking this move for now.
Unless Spurs change their defensive stance, Dortmund will find themselves sidelined in this race. Loan-to-buy stipulations are often the ultimate deal-breakers, and that seems to be the case here.
Editor's Insight
Spurs survived a last-day relegation scare, so thankfully for Roberto De Zerbi, he will be preparing for another Premier League season. However, with Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven both linked with exits, Vušković could be viewed internally as a ready-made option to step into the starting XI.
