Free agent Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is looking to engineer a move back to the Premier League, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
And our sources have discovered that the former England international is already on Sunderland, Everton and Fulham’s radar.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has been training with former club Arsenal, keeping match fit with the Gunners’ Under-21 side.
But the 32-year-old has a burning desire to play in the Premier League again and has had tentative discussions with a number of clubs about his return.
Capped 35 times by his country, Oxlade-Chamberlain has been playing for Turkish side Besiktas in the Super Lig for the past two seasons before deciding a move back to England to be closer to his young family is what he wanted.
He played 50 games for Besiktas but is now ready for change and craves a return to the English top-flight for the first time since playing for former club Liverpool in the 2022-23 season.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has vast experience of the Premier League having played in it for 13 consecutive seasons, firstly seven seasons with Arsenal, follow by six with Liverpool before he moved abroad for the first time in his distinguished career.
The experienced midfielder has amassed 235 Premier League appearances throughout his career and a total of 437 career appearances since turning professional way back in 2019.
SERIAL WINNER
He won the FA Cup three times with Arsenal as well as the Community Shield on as many occasions.
With Liverpool he won the Premier League title in the 2019-20 season, having famously won the Champions League crown the previous campaign.
In all he won five trophies at Anfield and frustratingly missed out on a second Champions League winners’ medal after defeat in the 2021-22 final.
At Besiktas he won the Turkish Cup in his first season and would understandably be a great addition to many Premier League clubs given his experience in the top-flight.
The Black Cats, Toffees and Cottagers are all looking to strengthen in the January transfer window and being a free agent means agreeing wages is the main concern.
