Forest, similarly, may be languishing just above the drop zone, but two wins and two draws from their past four outings, have given themselves a decent chance of survival. The stakes inevitably will be high, but who will clinch a precious three points? Our Leeds vs Forest preview piece contains some useful Premier League betting insights for you to tap into ahead of kick-off.

Head-to-Head Record

Premier League head-to-head records serve a purpose, so let’s assess the tale of the tape between Leeds and Forest:

Last Five Meetings (Premier League)

  1. 09/11/25: Nottingham Forest 3-1 Leeds United

  2. 04/04/23: Leeds United 2-1 Nottingham Forest

  3. 05/02/23: Nottingham Forest 1-0 Leeds United

  4. 03/04/99: Leeds United 3-1 Nottingham Forest

  5. 17/10/98: Nottingham Forest 1-1 Leeds United

Leeds United Current Form – DLWDL

Daniel Farke was expected to be one of the first managerial casualties of the campaign, but he has surpassed expectations.

Leeds have acquitted themselves well against the traditional Premier League powerhouses, beating Liverpool and Chelsea, but they have had to suffer at times, as shown by the 4-3 defeat away to Newcastle, and they were put to the sword by Arsenal, crashing to a 4-0 loss last weekend.

Excellent in transitions, Leeds could run Nottingham Forest ragged if they are at the races, and a strong start is imperative.

Key Players to Watch

  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has shown his predatory instincts in front of goal this season, scoring nine times, and he has given opposing teams plenty of problems. Forest have been warned!
  • Ethan Ampadu
Ethan Ampadu has been in splendid form this term, and he marshals the defence well. He also hit the target in the 4-1 win over Crystal Palace in December, so he can contribute at the other end.
  • James Justin
James Justin has weighed in with two goals in his past three appearances in all competitions, but he has come out on top in many duels, and he gives Leeds solidity.

Leeds United Team News

Lukas Nmecha (hamstring) and Gabriel Gudmundsson (adductor) are both out of action, but otherwise, Farke has a full-strength squad to choose from.

Nottingham Forest Current Form – LWDWD

Compared to last term, it has been a turbulent season for Nottingham Forest, and that was partly down to the acrimonious departure of former manager Ange Postecoglou.

While there has been a slight upturn in form, Forest are just four points above the drop zone, and they could be sucked into a relegation battle.

Under Sean Dyche, Forest are trying to be a bit more robust, as shown by their recent goalless draw against Arsenal, and they will look to exert pressure on Leeds from set-pieces.

Key Players to Watch

  • Morgan Gibbs-White
As the club’s main penalty taker, Morgan Gibbs-White is deadly from the spot. The midfielder is a big creative influence, and with seven goal involvements (five goals and two assists), he could hurt Leeds.
  • Callum Hudson-Odoi
With pace to burn, Callum Hudson-Odoi is key to Forest’s swift attacks, and while he has only netted three times in the league this term, you can’t take your eyes off him.
  • Igor Jesus
A man in form, Igor Jesus is a slippery customer, and with four goals netted in his past four games in all competitions, the Brazilian will give Leeds food for thought.

Nottingham Forest Team News

Currently, Chris Wood (knee) remains sidelined and is unavailable for action, while John Victor (also knee) is out for the rest of the season. Dyche doesn’t have any other fresh injury dilemmas to worry about.

Predicted Line-Ups

  1. Leeds United (3-4-2-1)

Darlow; Justin, Rodon, Struijk, Bogle, Ampadu, Gruev, Longstaff, Stach, Aaronson; Calvert-Lewin

  2. Nottingham Forest (4-2-3-1)

Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Williams, Sangaré, Anderson, Hudson-Odoi, Gibbs-White, Domínguez; Jesus

Suggested Bets

Premier League sportsbooks are never short on pre-match odds, and we’ve applied our knowledge to divulge some football betting tips to investigate further.

  1. Over 2.5 Goals: The past couple of league clashes has seen the Over 2.5 goals line, and we like patterns, so we’re going for the same again. (1/1 with Unibet)

  2. First Goal Scored – Leeds United: The Yorkshire outfit opened the scoring, albeit in a losing cause at the City Ground earlier in the campaign, and roared on by a home crowd this time, Leeds could break the deadlock. (4/5 with Bet442)

  3. Leeds United to Win: Although they were overrun by Forest last time round, Leeds haven’t lost at home against Dyche’s charges in the Premier League or Championship, for that matter, in 10 years, so that bodes well. (5/4 with Bzeebet)

Value Bets

  1. Leeds United to Score in Both Halves: Although Leeds have performed better in the first halves of recent games against Forest, they could produce a solid performance across the entire 90 minutes, and score in both halves (12/5 with Betfred)

  2. Anytime Goalscorer – Morgan Gibbs-White: The 26-year-old was on target when these sides last met, so there is value in Gibbs-White to find the net once again. (18/5 with Leovegas)

  3. Goalkeeper Saves Over 6.5: Last time around, there were nine shots registered on target, so Over 6.5 saves across the 90 minutes seems reasonable. (11/8 with BetMGM)

Prediction: Leeds to Win

Okay, Leeds are coming off the back of a 4-0 hammering at Arsenal, which wasn’t the best preparation, and while there is nothing separating themselves and Forest points-wise, Leeds have often been at their best at home.

It is a huge game for both sides in the context of their respective campaigns, and neither will give an inch. However, if push comes to shove, given the way Leeds have harassed teams at times, they could clinch all three points at Elland Road.
