Exclusive: West Ham Face Fresh Competition as Trabzonspor Target Wolves Keeper José Sá
Trabzonspor are looking to sign a goalkeeper to replace Andre Onana, likely unable to afford the Cameroon international. West Ham United and Nottingham Forest are also interested in signing José Sá from Wolves, with Hammers boss Nuno Espírito Santo eager for a reunion in the summer. Wolves are keen to secure a fee for Sá, who has been a great servant for the club since his €8 million signing in 2021 from Olympiacos.

Trabzonspor join West Ham United in José Sá pursuit, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The Turkish side are in the market for a keeper with loanee Andre Onana set for a permanent exit for Manchester United this summer.
It is understood Trabzonspor would not be able to fund a move for the Cameroon international, who has kept four clean sheets in his 17 league appearances for the club this season.
With Wolves set for a return to the Championship for the first time since 2018, there are plenty of admirers for shot stopper Sá.
Nottingham Forest were rebuffed in an approach for the stopper in January, whilst West Ham United boss Nuno Espírito Santo was interested in a reunion with his former charge.
Our sources understand Nuno remains eager to bring the keeper to the Hammers in the summer if the club stay up.
Sá will have a year left on his deal at Molineux come the end of the season and it is understood Wolves are eager to secure a fee for their number one rather than lose him for free next year.
Great Servant
The three-time international signed for the club in 2021, for a fee in the region of €8million, as a replacement for compatriot Rui Patrício and helped them to a respectable tenth-placed finish during his first campaign.
At the end of his first season Sá, who has gone on to make over 150 appearances for the club, was awarded both the Fans’ Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year.
Despite a brief spell in Benfica’s academy, Sá got his first big break with the club’s bitter rivals Porto and made 14 league appearances as they won the 2017/18 title.
He was deemed surplus to requirements by the club and moved to Olympiacos, where he won back-to-back league titles during his three-season stint before moving to Wolves.
