Endrick’s Agent Reveals Real Madrid Stance as January Loan Speculation Grows
Endrick’s agency has told SportsBoom the Brazilian would rather stay at Real Madrid, but that his future will hinge on whether he plays between now and the January transfer window.

Endrick’s camp says his future at Real Madrid remains open, with the 20-year-old determined to play regular football after a stop-start beginning to his career at the Bernabéu.
Speaking exclusively to SportsBoom, Michael Yormack, President at Roc Nation Sports International, which represents the forward, said the coming weeks would shape whether he stays in Madrid beyond the winter window.
The comments come with reports in Spain suggesting Real Madrid are weighing up another January loan for the Brazil international, who spent the second half of last season at Lyon.
‘A fluid process’
Yormack was clear that no decision has been made, with the forward’s recent minutes set to play a big part.
“I think it’s a fluid process. I think we have to see how things go from now until the end of the year, before the next transfer window,” Yormack told SportsBoom.co.uk.
“Obviously he came in two games ago, scored a late goal [vs Roma], then started the last game [league game vs Sevilla], so hopefully there’s some momentum for him.”
That goal came in one of the most dramatic nights of Real Madrid’s Champions League campaign so far. Introduced alongside Arda Güler in place of Denzel Dumfries and Vinicius Junior, Endrick helped turn a 3-1 deficit in Rome into a 4-3 win. His header from a Güler corner was spilled for Carlos Espí to score, before he headed in the 85th-minute equaliser himself, with Antonio Rüdiger completing the comeback.
According to sources, the club viewed the cameo as a potential breakthrough after he had played only sparingly up to that point.
Four days later he was named in José Mourinho’s starting XI for the LaLiga visit of Sevilla, lining up in attack alongside Kylian Mbappé and Yan Diomande.
Since speaking to SportsBoom, Endrick has made a further appearance, coming off the bench for a very late cameo in Wednesday’s Champions League meeting with RB Leipzig at the Bernabéu.
‘The young man wants to play’
Yormack, who visited Endrick in Madrid recently, said the player’s attachment to the club is not in doubt.
“He’s a super, super talented young man, and the young man wants to play,” he added.
“I visited him a few weeks ago in Madrid; we had a great chat, he’s eager to play, so we’ll see what happens.”
“He loves Madrid, he loves the team, and his teammates, but at the end of the day when you think about the lifespan of a career, it’s short, and he wants to maximise it.”
“I think his first choice would be to stay at Real Madrid, but he’s got to play.”
From Palmeiras prodigy to Lyon revival
Playing time has been the recurring theme since Endrick arrived. His move from Palmeiras was agreed in 2022 but could only be completed in July 2024, after his 18th birthday.
In his first season, he scored seven goals in 37 appearances, but only eight of those were starts, and he totalled 847 minutes.
Things got harder under Xabi Alonso. By December 2025, he had played just 11 minutes in LaLiga and 11 in the Champions League, and Madrid agreed a six-month loan with Lyon with no option to buy, the French club contributing €1m towards his wages.
The move worked. Endrick produced eight goals and eight assists in 21 games in France, form that earned him a place in Brazil’s World Cup squad. He has since been named among the candidates for the 2026 Golden Boy award.
What happens in January?
Endrick is under contract until 2030, and there is no suggestion Madrid wants to sell.
However, many sources reported that the club is seriously considering another loan in January, with Lyon seen as the leading option and Roma and Aston Villa also mentioned.[1]
Other reports have widened the field. The Hard Tackle claimed earlier this month that AC Milan, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are all interested in a temporary deal.[2]
United were also linked with a loan move last winter before Lyon won the race.
Much may depend on how much Mourinho uses him over the next two months. With Vinicius suspended for El Clásico, Endrick could have a further opportunity to make his case before the window opens.
