Everton vs Newcastle Preview: Odds, Tips and Prediction

Date: November 29, 2025 Venue: Hill Dickinson Stadium Kickoff Time: 19:30 This fixture pits Everton’s deep, disciplined low-block and aerial mastery directly against Newcastle’s relentless, high-press approach. Premier League betting fans will be spoiled for choice with generous odds when making informed selections for this hot matchup. Under Sean Dyche, the Blues operate on pure, desperate adrenaline, and transform into a force to be reckoned with on their own turf, turning every set-piece and every tackle into a battlefield. Newcastle, however, are built on pace, press, and vast ambition, yet are currently haunted by their underwhelming away record as they still search for their first win away from home. Their star-studded attack has been blunt on the road, turning their high-intensity football into high-risk vulnerability, especially against a compact, counter-attacking opponent.

Everton Current Form – LLDWW

Everton are defined by structure, organization, and set-piece dominance. They are not a possession-based team and focus more on direct, fast forward movement, over patient build-up. Their threat is simple and effective, prioritizing long passes, vertical counter-attacks, and aerial power. At the Hill Dickinson Stadium, the Toffees' home record is their fortress; they thrive on maintaining their identity and discipline while finding ways to grind out results. Expect Dyche and his men to impose themselves as Newcastle have been dreadful on the road this season.

The last five games have seen Everton take on Man City and Tottenham, which saw them lose both matches, but displayed their newfound resilience to quickly turn things around after taking a massive point away against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. That spirited performance was followed by successive victories over Fulham and Man United. The Hill Dickinson stadium has been a hunting ground for the Toffees, and with the momentum they have built up, as well as knowing how poor Newcastle have been on the road thus far, there is an opportunity for maximum points for Moyes and the boys.

Key Players To Watch

  • Iliman Ndiaye: This month has been a special month for Ndiaye after he made his 50th appearance for the Toffees. He is an exciting winger who is not afraid to exert himself and take players on with his crowd-pleasing footwork. His skill to hold the ball under pressure and link up play has been extremely valuable for Everton. Furthermore, he has the most goal contributions with four goals and one assist.
  • Jack Grealish: Grealish is one of the most talented and gifted footballers in the English top flight. From his days at Aston Villa to Manchester City and now at Everton, Grealish has continued to show class with the way he controls the game, takes defenders on in one-on-one situations, and the creativity to provide assists has given the Toffees the extra edge that has been missing.
  • Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall: Dewsbury-Hall has fitted perfectly into Everton’s midfield. He has a high work rate, where he contributes to both the attacking phase and when under pressure defensively, providing cover for his defensive line. In attack, his passing and vision allow him to initiate attacks from deep; he has good link-up play and also shows great desire to chip in with goals as well as assists.

Everton Team News

Other than Jarrad Branthwaite, who is still recovering from a hamstring injury, David Moyes will have a strong squad to choose from as he seeks to cause further panic to Newcastle’s away form and secure a favourable result, if not all three points.

Newcastle Current Form – WLWLW

Newcastle are a team of high-intensity pressing and fluid, fast-paced transitions. They blend controlled build-up with a desire to attack the opponent’s goal with intent. Eddie Howe aims to control possession with steady build-up play, relying on full-back overlaps and the athleticism of their classy midfield to impose themselves in the final third. That said, despite their aspirations, they are showing clear vulnerabilities and still yet to win a game on the road this season. Howe will need to gather his Toon Army and focus on what works for them, as a win could prove vital in a much-needed turnaround.

Newcastle have been unlucky thus far, and juggling the heavy schedule may have hampered their progress. With three victories and two defeats in all competitions from the last five games, the Magpies will be extra motivated to take Everton head-on, especially after a well-deserved victory over Man City in the last league outing. Despite Newcastle sitting in the bottom half of the table, they are drenched in quality and will be determined to secure back-to-back victories in the league for the first time this season.

Key Players To Watch

  • Bruno Guimaraes: Guimaraes is a versatile, intelligent, and hard-working midfielder who is exceptional at both winning the ball and progressing it forward. His style is defined by his excellent passing range, short and long, which he uses to break defensive lines. He has a tenacious feel for the game, which uplifts the entire team and offers creativity and assists.
  • Nick Woltemade: Woltemade came in with very little enthusiasm to replace Alexander Isak, who left for Liverpool in a British record transfer fee. The German has now adjusted to the pace, adapted to his new environment, and the demands of the Premier League. He has quickly won over the hearts of the Newcastle faithful with his skill, presence in the box, and ability to score from different situations.
  • Harvey Barnes: Barnes is a very efficient winger who drives at defenders with pace and often creates scoring opportunities for his teammates. He thrives when receiving the ball into space, using his speed to get ahead of opponents while having the ability to remain composed in the face of goal. His aggressive attacking style is relentless and keeps defenders on their toes.

Newcastle Team News

Anthony Gordon is closing in on his return to the matchday squad after sustaining a hip injury. Will Osula is out in the recovery room with an ankle injury, and Yoanne Wissa is still far from making his debut as he continues to fight back from his knee injury.

Predicted Line-Up

  1. Everton: 4-3-2-1
Pickford, O’Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko, Alcaraz, Dewsbury-Hall, Garner, Grealish, Ndiaye, Beto.

  2. Newcastle: 4-2-3-1
Pope, Livramento, Thiaw, Botman, Burn, Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton, Barnes, Elanga, Woltemade.
