Exclusive: Barrow Weigh Up Move for Non-League Hotshot Matt Rush
Barrow are considering signing non-league star Matt Rush to avoid relegation. The striker has scored 21 goals for Boreham Wood this season. With Barrow struggling for goals, Rush could be the answer. The club is eager to maintain their Football League status and are willing to invest in new talent.

Barrow are contemplating signing non-league star Matt Rush to help beat the drop, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.
The Bluebirds’ owners are willing to back new boss Paul Gallagher in order to avoid a painful return to non-league football.
Barrow have struggled for goals in recent months having netted just 14 times in their last 12 outings.
The club’s supporters have frustratingly seen chances go begging during a woeful run of just one league win in 13 games which has seen them slowly dragged into a relegation battle.
Experienced Danny Rose was signed from Grimsby Town earlier in the window but with striker Josh Gordon, who returned to the club on loan from Walsall in the summer, now sidelined through injury the Bluebirds are on the lookout for another new marksman as they bid to maintain their precious Football League status.
Boreham Wood’s Rush has been a revelation this season, bagging an impressive 21 goals in all competitions.
And he is top of the Bluebirds’ board’s list of striker signings with club bosses well aware of how difficult sides dropping out of the league have found it to come back up in recent years.
It is understood that Rush has spoken to team-mate Regan Booty, who moved the other way earlier this season, about life in Cumbria ahead of a potential switch.
Rush is not alone in drawing EFL interest, as Oldham Athletic are one of several League Two sides keeping close tabs on Scunthorpe United striker Oli Ewing, SportsBoom's sources revealed yesterday.
In-form Hitman
Still aged just 24, Rush has plenty of time of his side to make a mark in the professional ranks.
With lead leaders Rochdale flying and only one automatic promotion spot, Rush is thought to be open to a Football League move with no guarantees Boreham Wood would get through the play-offs if they finished in the top seven.
Since signing for Wood this time last year, Rush has showcased his eye for goal with over 30 goals for the club.
