Premier League Darts 2025: Luke Littler in Autopilot as He’s Braced for Hostile Leeds Reception
Luke Littler is braced for another hostile crowd in Leeds but remains unfazed, saying he’ll “give it back” if needed. Already through to the O2 playoffs, he’s relaxed, eyeing top spot and the chance to break the Premier League points record.

Night 14 of the Premier League Darts roadshow arrives in Yorkshire for the first time this season, as Luke Littler and the sport’s elite head to a packed-out First Direct Arena in Leeds.
It’s a return to familiar – and unfriendly – territory for the 18-year-old sensation. As a proud Manchester United supporter, Littler has never hidden from football banter on the road, and this season he’s been on the receiving end of some of the most hostile atmospheres the Premier League has to offer.
Newcastle and Liverpool made their feelings clear in recent weeks, with Littler booed heavily as he took to the stage. And now, in a city packed with newly promoted Leeds United fans, who share one of English football’s fiercest rivalries with Man Utd, he’s bracing himself for more.
Bad Memories of Leeds Return
Littler’s last visit to Leeds during his debut season didn’t go to plan either – he was thrashed 6-1 by Michael van Gerwen in the semi-finals. The crowd played its part then, and Littler admits the atmosphere will again be a factor this time around.
So, does he prepare differently when stepping into a cauldron?
“Just depends on how the fans react. But the things in Newcastle, and Liverpool. I’ll always give it back to them.”
Cruising Into the O2
While the crowd might bring the heat, Littler himself is staying ice-cool. The teenager has already booked his place at the O2 for the playoffs and is targeting a second consecutive first-place finish in the league phase. But he’s not putting himself under any extra pressure.
“I just want to relax these next few weeks. I don’t have to perform to any high standards. I’m just cruising into the O2.”
Dangerous When Relaxed?
With no expectations weighing on him, we asked if this makes him even more dangerous – a free-swinging Littler who could add even more wins to his name in the final weeks.
“We’ll have to see. I think last year I secured top spot with quite a few weeks left to play. Right now, I’ve not secured it mathematically.”
A Shot at Another Record
A win in Leeds tonight would not only mark a record-extending sixth nightly win this season but would also take him to 40 points – enough to secure top spot with two weeks to spare.
That would also equal his own record points tally in a Premier League campaign – a record he currently shares with Jonny Clayton. One more win in either Aberdeen or Sheffield would see Littler stand alone at the top of the all-time points list.
“I’ve done it last year, why can’t I do it again. The points record as well, that can be broken, but most importantly these next few weeks I’m just gonna relax and see where the darts land,” he concluded.
