When I play live VIP blackjack, I always sit at the seven-seat table, streamed from HD and worked by Evolution. 

The basic rules of live VIP blackjack include the 3 to 2 payout for blackjack, the dealer must stand on all 17s, and the game is played with a six or eight-deck shoe.

VIP blackjack is characterised by its higher limits and unique atmosphere from a standard live blackjack table. Each level has a different minimum bet, with lower tiers of VIP tables starting at £50 or £100; while Platinum and Diamond Tables start at £250, £1,000, and above. 

VIP blackjack offers a less distracting environment when compared to other live blackjack tables and appeals more towards those who are willing to place larger wagers with every round.

Evolution VIP blackjack games use standard Blackjack rules to favour experienced players, using a 6 or 8-deck shoe. 

The dealer must stand on all hard 17’s, and Blackjack wins 3:2. Insurance is available 2:1, and you can double on your first two cards, usually with one split per hand (including Aces) and one card each for the split Aces. 

The main differences between a regular live Blackjack table and a VIP Blackjack table are higher minimum bets and often the removal of Bet Behind. Each table tier (Red, Silver, Platinum, and Diamond) only reflects a change in minimum betting limits and has the same RTP of approximately 99.28% to 99.29%.

Side Bets & Special Features

Most live VIP blackjack tables in the UK offer two side bets: Perfection Pairs and 21+3, which are two variations based on poker. 

Perfect Pairs pays when your first two cards make a mixed pair, coloured pair, or perfect pair (up to 25:1), with an RTP of approx. 95.90%. 21+3 is a poker-style hand made up of your first two cards and the dealer's upcard (up to 100:1), with an RTP of approx. 96.30%. 

I see both of these bets as entertainment rather than value bets. VIP features such as Pre-Decision, Deal Now, multiple cameras, and adjustable audio make the experience better, although in VIP tables, Bet Behind is typically not available.

RTP, House Edge & Betting Limits

VIP blackjack's major appeal is its highly advantageous base game RTP. 
When using the proper basic strategy, VIP blackjack RTP will be around 99.28 - 99.29%, making the house edge approximately 0.71%. 

Playing side bets will greatly diminish the overall RTP of the game; therefore, I generally do not play side bets as much. 

Bet limits can differ depending on the table tier and casino - entry-level VIP tables can be as low as £50 or £100, whereas platinum tables may begin at £250, and diamond tables can start at £1,000 with a max bet capped at £5,000. 

At these amounts, UK casinos will typically require you to provide complete KYC and may ask you to provide source of wealth documents.

My VIP blackjack strategy is intentionally straightforward. I play basic strategy only, bankroll management is essential, and I won't raise my bets after losing. 

I have strict session limits due to the increased variance at higher stakes. 

Using pre-decision plays helps manage the pace of the game, as I'm also using this method to help me time my decisions correctly based on the timing of how I play. I rarely place side bets, and when I do, I limit the amount. 

Staying disciplined in VIP Blackjack pays off much more than being aggressive.
