Let’s just say a lot is going on here. There’s a pine tree, that’s also a slot game grid, that’s also a plinko game. All of the symbols are etched into the wood of the pine tree, making for a very unique look and feel. There are no background animations, which is a good thing because they would be overwhelming. 

While the grid looked different from any other games I’ve seen, it actually follows the same formation as most slots. There are five reels and three rows, with 10 fixed paylines. To win, you just need to get at least three of the same symbols on adjacent reels from left to right on a payline. 

The Pine of Plinko RTP is 96.48%, which is slightly above the UK average for slot games, although that doesn't mean you’ll definitely land a win. The volatility is rated 4 / 5, which is quite high and should make for exciting gameplay - that was definitely my experience. 

The minimum bet for Pine of Plinko is £0.20, which is roughly in line with most other slot games. The usual maximum pound slot limits in the UK are set at £5, but there’s no £5 option here, so you can only go up to £4. 

The Pine of Plinko max win comes in at 10,000x your stake amount. While I didn’t get anywhere near this when I tested the game, I was impressed that it’s so high, as I’ve seen too many games recently that have a max win as low as 2,000x. 

Here’s where things get interesting. Pine of Plinko comes with a special Plinko bonus round, where a ball drops down a stack of pins to award a payout of up to 1,000x. Plus, there’s a chance that you’ll trigger the DreamDrop progressive prize. 

All of the regular symbols are themed, and when I checked the paytable, I noticed that they even have names! The highest-paying symbol is the crafty gnome called Piney: five of them will nab you a payout of 200x. Other high-value symbols include his pals Santa, Sleepy, and Miney. The colourful gem symbols pay out smaller wins. The game has a really coherent feel, as all of the symbols are made to fit the theme - no generic A, K, Q, and J symbols here!

90 spins. Ninety. That’s how long it took me to trigger the plinko round. But oh boy, was it worth it. 
If you’re not sure how plinko works, just take a look at the screenshot I’ve included. You’ll drop a ball (or in my case, 33 balls) from the top of a pyramid and watch it make its way down, bouncing off pins on the way. Eventually, the ball lands at the bottom, giving you a multiplier. This certainly paid off for me, as I ended up winning £476 on a £4 spin (in demo mode, unfortunately).
