Theme and Presentation

Dragon’s Luck is an Asian-themed game. It combines a calm, peaceful backdrop with a game grid set in a temple, complete with striking stone dragons. There’s some red (the colour of luck), but most symbols appear in watercolour shades - again, peaceful.

Dragon’s Luck is played on a simple 5x3 grid, as I’ve seen on a million other slot games. There are 10 paylines (active every time you spin), and to get a payout, you need to land at least three matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right on a payline. 

RTP and Volatility

The Dragon’s Luck RTP is 96.24%. This puts it above the slot game average of 96%, which is the minimum I usually look for, although it still doesn’t guarantee a win. The volatility is medium, so wins can be quite small and frequent, or larger and more spread out. 

Bet Range and Stake Flexibility

The minimum stake on Dragon’s Luck is £0.20, which is relatively average, and I noticed that you can’t reduce the number of active paylines to make your bet smaller. The maximum here in the UK is set at £4 per spin.

The usual Asian-style pipes and chimes make up the background tune, but things get seriously dramatic when the dragons wake up.

I tried the Dragon’s Luck demo at a few trusted online casinos, and Unibet was my favourite, followed by Funky Jackpot. Yes, I had to sign up and verify my account before I could play, but that’s typical with UK casinos.

I’m going to be honest and tell you that I was disappointed with the mobile experience on Dragon’s Luck. I played on my iPhone using Safari, and although the actual gameplay was smooth and the animations worked well, the grid was too small for my liking. It’s not really optimised for mobile play: the grid just sits in the middle of the screen and doesn’t adapt to the size of your device at all.

Although I must say, when I landed a £96 win on a £2 spin, I couldn’t possibly miss my win amount, based on the size of the text! I also tried to rotate my phone to landscape mode, but it turns out that it isn’t available.
