Leicester City ace, Stephy Mavididi could leave the Foxes this summer with interests building up on his availability, Sportsboom can exclusively reveal.
The demoted Foxes who are preparing for life in the third tier are planning a massive squad revamp in the offseason, with several of the club's high earners expected to leave.
Leicester will look to cut their losses after what had been a woeful campaign, with Mavididi who earns in the region of £10,000 per week one of the big names up for sale.
Mavididi joined Leicester City in the summer of 2023, signing on till June 2028 but managed just four goals in 45 outings all season.
ESCAPE ROUTE
SportsBoom understands a couple of Championship clubs are ready to offer the striker a fresh start to reprise the form which made him a sought after striker during his days with Montpellier.
Watford and Derby County have been made aware of his situation at the King Power and are ready to swoop for his services if any of the clubs can accept their terms.
The Hornets are currently bracing themselves for bids for a number of their own breakout stars, including Morrocan winger Othmane Maamma who is attracting Premier League interest.
The 27-year old was one of the several high-profile signings brought in to help City orchestrate their way back into the top-flight after they dropped into the Championship in the 2022/23 season.
It is understood the player will welcome the prospect of continuing his career higher up the English football ladder, as the demotion to League One comes with the cost of some significant financial cut.
CAREER CURVE
Mavididi honed his skills at Arsenal's famed Hale End home as a youth teamer before enjoying first tastes of senior team football with Charlton Athletic and Preston, before a high-profile move to Italian Serie A giants Juventus.
However, his most productive spell as a professional arrived in France when he represented Dijon and Montpellier and went on to make a total 108 top-flight appearances.
During the time with La Paillade in the French top flight, he amassed 98 caps, scoring 21 goals and setting up another six.
While the former England youth international has had bitter-sweet memories of his time in Leicestershire, he has 22 goals and 11 assists to show for his 125 appearances since joining.

Since he broke loose from the shackles of long hours huddled up in a hot classroom learning Mandarin Chinese and Pinyin at the famous Confucius Institute, UNIZIK, Emmanuel Chinaza has embraced sports and football in particular, and it helped that he grew up in the football-crazy city of Anambra.
