As one of the latest gems of the Genk academy, Robin Mirisola has drawn significant attention by efficiently utilising the minutes he has received in both the Jupiler Pro League and on the European stage this season.

His composure, particularly in the critical matches played at the beginning of March, has elevated him from being merely a "prospect" to a true "game-changer."

Scouting Tribune

The teams tracking Mirisola live include lower-to-mid-table Premier League sides and developmental-focused European clubs.

It has been reported that scouts from AFC Bournemouth, Everton, and Nottingham Forest have been tracking the player in Belgium.

Additionally, Italy’s AS Roma and Lazio, along with France’s Lille, are known to have kept the player on their long-term watchlists.

Scouts focused specifically on his performances throughout March, particularly against Union SG, St. Truiden, and La Louvière. Beyond his goals and assists in these fixtures, his success in link-up play was reflected in observers' reports with high marks for "tactical discipline."

Technical Observations

The following technical details are highlighted in the scouts' notebooks for Mirisola.

The 1.84m forward is not just a "fox in the box" finisher; he also possesses a profile that drops deep to facilitate play and create space for teammates, as consistently demonstrated in recent league matches.

While his durability in physical contact (duels) is still considered to be in the developmental stage for Premier League standards, his balance and hold-up play are significantly ahead of his peers.

Valuation and Strategic Moves

KRC Genk acted quickly, recognising the player’s potential.

In January 2026, the player’s contract was extended until June 30, 2030. This move indicates that Genk has no intention of letting the player go cheaply, targeting a substantial transfer fee starting in the €20M–€25 million range.

No official bid has been received yet; however, it is rumoured that Everton and Bournemouth are conducting "cost-benefit analyses" ahead of the summer transfer window.

Official Status vs. Rumours

Mirisola has officially committed to the club until 2030. The club management has formally announced that he is a vital part of their long-term project.

While AS Roma is reportedly considering a "sign and loan" formula, sources close to the player suggest Mirisola prefers to stay at Genk to secure his spot as the primary centre forward.
