Wolverhampton Wanderers want to bring Brooke Norton-Cuffy back to England as part of their Championship rebuild, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.

But Rob Edwards’ employers will face competition from former Premier League rivals for the 22-year-old’s signature, our sources have been told.

The former Arsenal youngster has impressed in Serie A since making the move to Italy in 2024.

And that has attracted the attention of clubs back at home as well as higher up the Serie A table.

It has been a real breakthrough campaign for the defender, who has featured 28 times so far this season.

SportsBoom's sources have been told Crystal Palace are also monitoring his situation closely, with West Ham United also in the mix. Both sides are expected to be in the market for defensive reinforcements this summer.

Our sources understand one of the three clubs mentioned are ready to bid in the region of €20 million for his services.

It is understood Genoa rejected a €15million bid from a Premier League club earlier this season, which was believed to be Everton, who then turned to other options including Sheffield United's Femi Seriki

And they are braced for a battle to keep the rising star at Stadio Luigi Ferraris this summer.

The player, who signed for approximately £4million two summers ago, is under contract until 2029. But the highly-sought-after defender may find offers too good to turn down.

It is understood that if Genoa manage to keep clubs at England at bay that both Inter Milan and Juventus are interested in the player.

Norton-Cuffy, who was briefly in Chelsea’s academy, came through the ranks with Arsenal.

During his time at the Emirates he went on loan to Lincoln City, Rotherham United, Coventry City and Millwall at various levels in the Football League.

Capped at youth level for England, Norton-Cuffy was part of the U19 European Championship triumph in 2022 and the U21 European Championship win last summer.
