Tottenham Hotspur Current Form – LLDLL
Two seasons ago, Tottenham were flying high, having ended fifth in the Premier League and qualifying for the Europa League, which they went on to win.
Underlining their staggering fall from grace this term, Spurs were defeated 0-1 by Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, with a drop to the Championship likely.
Just before football paused for international action, Tottenham were handed a 0-3 thumping by Nottingham Forest, who have also been courting relegation.
In their two earlier games in March, Spurs mustered a 1-1 draw against defending champions Liverpool and were handed a 1-3 defeat by Crystal Palace.
Underlining the Lilywhites’ struggles for positive results in recent seasons, they also lost 1-2 against Fulham, as the possibility of relegation looms large.
Tottenham’s best-case scenario at this stage is overcoming Brighton at home and West Ham slipping up, which would give the Londoners breathing room.

Key Players to Watch
- Richarlison: Leading his teams in goals scored and total contributions this season, the Brazilian forward’s consistency has somewhat mirrored his team’s up-and-down trajectory. However, Richarlison has scored nine times and provided three assists, with manager Roberto De Zerbi relying on his star player to chip in with more vital points.
- Cristian Romero: The Argentinian defender has been strong among the Tottenham backline and has even contributed four goals and one assist. While Spurs have struggled, Romero has upped the ante with four ‘clean sheets’, and decent numbers in terms of tackles per game, clearances per game, balls recovered and passes.
- Joao Palhinha: Another player who has illuminated a path for his team, the Portuguese midfielder has scored three times and chalked up two assists this season. As Tottenham fight their way out of danger, Palhinha would be expected to find the back of the net and contribute defensively.
Tottenham Hotspur News
Big news from the Spurs camp was star playmaker Mohammed Kudus possibly needing surgery as a muscle injury keeps him sidelined since January. Dejan Kulusevski is also out with a knee injury, which could see him miss all games in April, as the likes of Rodrigo Bentancur and Guglielmo Vicario work back to fitness.
Brighton Hove and Albion Current Form – WLWWW
Brighton moved up three places with their win against Burnley last time out, within striking distance of Everton, who snatched a last-minute draw against Brentford.
The Seagulls have been firmly lodged in the Premier League mid-table recently, although they have managed some surprise results against perceived stronger teams.
This includes a 2-1 win over Liverpool, before the March international break, as the Reds struggle to replicate their title-winning form and drop down the standings.
In the weeks before, Brighton defeated Sunderland 1-0 at the Stadium of Light before battling to a 0-1 at the American Express Stadium against the title-chasing Arsenal.
Looking back at results in the English top flight from the beginning of March, the Seagulls defeated Nottingham Forest 2-1, who are in danger of being relegated.
Brighton would be eager to push past Tottenham in London and gain ground on the likes of Brentford and Everton as the last last weeks of the season count down.

Key Players to Watch
- Jan Paul van Hecke: The Dutch defender has been among his team’s standout players, making 30 starts in 30 appearances during the campaign. In addition to three goals and two assists, van Hecke has been strong against opposition attacks, making important clearances and recoveries, and excelling in winning ground duels.
- Danny Welbeck: Having found the back of the net 12 times in 21 starts, the English forward has been Brighton’s strongest attacker in 2025/2026. As his team tries to move into the upper half of the Premier League table, Welbeck will need to keep his scoring boots laced.
- Bart Verbruggen: The Dutch goalkeeper is among the Seagulls’ top-rated players, playing a key role in keeping the team defensively strong and marshalling the backline. With an impressive 32 starts in 32 games, Verbruggen has kept eight clean sheets and has good numbers for balls recovered and overall coverage.
Brighton and Hove Albion News
After missing the Burnley game with recent yellow cards, defender Lewis Dunk will be available for the Spurs match. Fellow defender, Adam Webster, is also said to be nearing his return from a knee injury that has kept him out of action since July 2025.

Suggested Bets
Recommended bets are currently available from selected Premier League bookmakers and football betting sites.
Brighton to Score in Both Halves - Yes: Looking at recent results, the Seagulls have only failed to score once in five games, that instance being against the defensively impressive Arsenal (17/20 with Bet Vickers)
Value Bets
Premier League platforms have also looked beyond the expected at stakes with high returns.
Both Teams to Score - No: Tottenham have a negative goal difference and have struggled to make inroads against stronger teams, and Brighton are likely to keep a clean sheet here (13/10 with BetNero)
Tottenham vs Brighton Prediction: Visitors to Win
Football betting strategies, looking at a purely statistical view, have given neither team the edge based on their respective placements in the Premier League standings and the low stakes for the visitors.
However, Brighton have the better head-to-head record and have been on a run of good form, with Tottenham likely to lose here and remain stranded at the bottom of the standings when the dust settles.
